একটি ছোট গল্প।
বন্ধুরা বাবা মারা গেছেন,আজ অনেক দিন হয়ে গেলো। মা আল্লাহর রহমতে এখনও বেঁচে আছেন। বাবা সরকারি চাকরি করতেন, সেই সুবাদে মা এখন ও বাবার পেনশনের টাকা পাচ্ছেন। মা আমার সেকালের, নেই কোন হাতে কলমে শিক্ষার বালাই , অনেক কষ্টে আমার ছোট বোন ,তার নাম লিখতে শিখিয়েছে , কারন যদি বলি - তবে বলতে চাই পেনশনের টাকা ব্যাংক থেকে আনতে হলে, একটি
সই এর প্রয়োজন ,তাই । গত বছর পর্যন্ত সব ঠিক ছিলো। বয়সের কারণে মা আমার অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়েন, জড়ায়ু টিউমার, চোখে ঘোলা দেখা, হাত- পাও কাঁপা, মাথা ঘোড়ানো, প্রস্রাবের রাস্তা দিয়ে এই সাদা স্রাব, এই রক্ত, এই উঠতে উঠতে প্রসাব পায়খানা বিছানায় করে দেয়া , এই অবস্থা চলতে থাকে, এখন পর্যন্ত। অথচ এই অবস্থায়
প্রতিবারই মাকে নিয়ে ব্যাংকে যেতে হয়। কোন কোন সময় অতিরিক্ত মার শরীর খারাপ থাকলে, আমি তার ছেলে, অথবা আমার ছোট বোন ব্যাংকে যাই টাকা আনতে, কিন্তু ব্যাংক অফিসাররা বিভিন্ন ধরনের প্রশ্ন, যার একাউন্ট সে এসেছে ? যদি না বলি - ব্যাংক কর্মকর্তা বলে- যার অ্যাকাউন্ট তার আসতে হবে। আপনার কি হয় ? হাতের সই মিলে না। যার এখন তাকে ছাড়া টাকা দেওয়া যাবে না। তার পর বাসায় ফোন দিয়ে , ছোট বোনকে বলি যে - তাকে নিয়ে ব্যাংকে আসতে । তার পর শুরু হয় আবার নতুন কাহিনী, এই সই মিলে না। আবার নতুন করে সই দিয়ে আনেন । যদি বলি আম্মা তো অসুস্থ ঠিক মতো আর সই দিতে পারে না। চোখে দেখে না। হাত কাঁপে, স্টক করেছে ,এই পর্যন্ত দুইবার, তখন সে উঠে এসে জিজ্ঞেস করে, এই সই কার কে দিয়েছে? দেখি এখানে সই করেন তো। না, সই মিলছে
না। আপনারা কেউ এই সই দিয়েছেন। তাও আবার যার অ্যাকাউন্ট তার সামনেই। তখন আমার মা বলে যে, বাবারে চোখে দেখি না, আগের মত শক্তি নাই, হাত পাও কাপে, আগের মত ঠিকমতো সই দিতে পারি না। ব্যাংকের ম্যানেজারের সাথে কথা বলে সমস্যা সমাধান হয়। ব্যাংকের ম্যানেজারকে সম্পূর্ণ ঘটনাটা বলি যে , মার বর্তমান অবস্থা এই , উনি একটি পরামর্শ দিয়েছেন, উনি বলেছেন যে, আপনি একটি কার্ড ব্যাংক থেকে নিয়ে নিন, লাস্ট বারের মত আপনার মাকে উপস্থিত থাকতে হবে। তারপর উনি না আসলেও চলবে। দেখি আগামী মাসে- যে কি অবস্থা তারপর বুঝা যাবে ? এবার বলি ডাক্তার সম্বন্ধে, একটু ভালো ডাক্তার অথবা একটু ভালো চিকিৎসার কারণে মানুষ দূরদূরান্ত থেকে আসে অথবা দূর-দূরান্ত থেকে রোগীকে নিয়ে যায় ডাক্তারের কাছে। শুরুতেই ৫০০ টাকার টিকিট দিয়ে ডাক্তারকে দেখাতে হয়। তারপর নামমাত্র দেখে দুনিয়ার টেস্ট দিয়ে দেয়, যেমন- রক্তেরই দুই তিনটা টেস্ট ,জরায়ু টেস্ট, কিডনি টেস্ট, প্রসাব টেস্ট, যাই এবার মাকে নিয়ে দু তলা , তিন তলা,পাঁচ তলা। তারপর থাকতে হয় সিরিয়ালে, যখন রোগীর সময় আসে তখন জিজ্ঞেস করে সকালে কিছু খেয়েছে? প্রসাবের চাপ আছে? প্রসাবের চাপ লাগবে ,চাপ ছাড়া হবে না। রোগীকে বেশি বেশি করে পানি খাওয়ান। তারপর আবার শুরু হল পানি খাওয়ানো, তারপর যখন প্রসাবের চাপ আসলো ঘন্টাখানেক পর, তখন ডাক্তার নাই ডাক্তার চলে গেছে ,কালকে আসেন । তারপর আবার নিয়ে গেলাম পাঁচ তলায় , জিজ্ঞেস করল পোশাকের চাপ আছে পোশাকের চাপ থাকলে হবে না প্রসাব করে আসেন। আমরা তিন ভাই বোন আমি বড় ছেলে আমার ছোট দুই বোন, আমার দু বোনেরই ছোট ছোট দুটি বাচ্চা মেয়ে শিশু ,এদেরকে রেখে কোনভাবেই আসা সম্ভব না ,তাই ওরা আসতে পারে নাই ,আমি আসছি আম্মার সাথে, আমার মার বয়সের কারণে অথবা শরীর অসুস্থতার কারণে তার মাথা ঠিক থাকে না ,এই স্যান্ডেল খুলে, এই স্যান্ডেল পড়ে ,এই বাথরুমে নিয়ে যাই ,এই বের করি। আবারও দশ মিনিট পর আবারও বাথরুমে নিয়ে যাও, আবারও বের করি ।এই পানি আনো,এরকম একটা অবস্থায় থাকি, আমি আমার মাকে নিয়ে। হাসপাতালের নিয়মে টেস্ট টার আগেই সমস্ত টাকা পেট করা হয়ে যায়। কিন্তু কিন্তু কয়েকটা টেস্ট বাকি রয়ে গেল আজকে আর কড়া হলো না। আমার মা এখন আর একা হাঁটতে পারে না।
ব্যাংকেই হোক, হাসপাতালেই হোক ,বয়স্ক মানুষ নিয়ে এখন আর, রিকশায় করে মেইন রোডে উঠা যায় না। বর্তমানে রাস্তার যে অবস্থা, কার আগে কে, যাবে এত জ্যাম, তখন আমি এই অসুস্থ মাকে নিয়ে কিভাবে রাস্তা পাড় হই?
এখন আর কেউ এই ধরনের রোগীদের - অথবা অসুস্থ এই ধরনের মানুষদের নিয়ে কেউ ভাবেনা? তারপর আবার তারপরের দিন নিয়ে যাই সেই হাসপাতালে, আবার দুতলা তিনতলা পাঁচতলা করে সমস্ত জায়গায় ঘুরে সকলে টেস্ট করাই, তারপর গেলাম ব্লাড দিতে, ব্লাড যে নেয় সে বললেন, এখানে ব্লাডের তিনটা টেস্ট লিখছে কেন? দুইটা হলেই তো হয়ে যায়। আপনি গিয়ে ডাক্তারের সাথে কথা বলেন এবং একটা ব্লাড টেস্টের টাকা আপনি ফেরত বুঝে নেন, তারপর ডাক্তারের সাথে কথা বলে যখন টাকা ফেরত আনতে গেলাম ,তখন এই নাই ,সে নাই ,এখন না ,সার আসুক, তখন না একটু পড়ে নেন ,এই অবস্থা। তারপর আবার যখন কাউন্টারে গেলাম টাকা আনতে তখন দেখা গেল ২২০ টাকা আমি ফেরত পাব সেখানে দুইশ টাকা দিয়ে বলল ২০ টাকা ভাংতি নাই। এই হল অবস্থা। তারপর সমস্ত টেস্টের ফলাফল নিয়ে ডাক্তার দেখাই ,ডাক্তার থেকে ওষুধ নিয়ে মাকে খাওয়াচ্ছি, আজকে প্রায় দেড় মাস, এই ভালো এই খারাপ ,একটু আগেও ফোন দিয়ে মা বলল যে - মার শরীর ভালো নাই । মার আগের সমস্যা রয়েই গেছে ,কোন কিছুই হয় নাই । এখন প্রায় মাঝে মাঝে মার হঠাৎ- হঠাৎ মুখ বাঁকা হয়ে যায়, কথায় চলে আসে জড়লতা, বুঝতে পারছি স্টক চলছে , অথবা মূল স্ট্রোকের পূর্ব লক্ষণ, কি করবো ? আমি তো ডাক্তার না ,আমার কিছুই করার নাই, খুব আফসোস হয় ,সমাজের জন্য , সমাজের এই মানুষ গুলোর জন্য, কোন সমাজে বসবাস করি আমরা?
কে ভাববে এই ধরনের মানুষদের নিয়ে? সরকারের দোষ আমি দিব না। তবে আমি আশা করবো,সরকার এই দেশ ও দেশের মানুষের জীবন চলা আরো সহজ করার জন্য কাজ করে যাবে ।
